Stephanie Mead has been a resident of NY for twelve years and when she isn’t in NYC, works out of her artist’s studio in upstate NY. This body of work combines colorful, embellished layers of painting, drawing, collage and found components that create visions of personal experience. She creates fantastical narratives where realistic environments transition into the world of the imagination. Animal imagery reflects aspects of psychology and human nature. Architectural elements relate to our relationship with modern society. She encourages the viewer to interact with their own human emotion and their personal tie to the beauty and magic that constantly surrounds us.
